FAQ's About the Quick Fitness 24/7® License:

1. What is the cost and how does it compare to the cost of a franchise? The cost of the license is in two parts: 1) the initial license fee is $1,500, and 2) the monthly fee is $100 so long as your license is active and in effect.  In comparison, franchise fees run from $12-15,000 initial fee and $500 and more for monthly fees. There are no royalties or profit sharing fees!
   
   
2. Do I have the exclusive rights to the name and brand in my territory? Yes you do so long as your licensing fees are paid and current.
   
   
3. How long is the license good for? It is in effect and active as long as you fees are paid…it never expires unless you cancel it or stop paying your fees.
   
   
4. Can I cancel the license and what does it cost?  You may cancel the license at anytime for no additional fees.  Monies paid up until the time you cancel are forfeited.
   
   
5. Can I sell my business down the road and does the license go with the business? Yes you can.  You may also assign the license in your territory to the new owner.  See Section 18 of the License Agreement for details.
   
   
6. What if I want to own multiple territories, do I get a discount?  Yes.  Multiple license owners get a 30% discount off the second territory and a 50% discount off all territories purchased in excess of two.  This applies to the initial fee and the monthly fee as well.
   
   
7. What advantages does the license have over franchises?  Primarily the lower initial cost and lower ongoing monthly fee.  However, there are also virtually no controls or restrictions, no reporting requirements, no non-competition agreements, and no performance criteria with the License as compared to a franchise.
   
   
8. Why is Quick Fitness 24/7® selling licenses rather than franchises?
   We chose licensing over franchising for several reasons, among which are:
   • The development costs of franchising are up to ten times more than licensing.
   • Since the development costs are lower for licensing, licenses may be sold at far less cost to a licensee than a franchise.
   • We believe there are a fair number of potential fitness center owners who would benefit from the added value of a national brand license, but do not want the controls, reporting requirements, non-competes, and restrictions present in franchise agreements
     
     
9. What if Quick Fitness 24/7® decides to sell franchises down the road?
   If the company decides to offer franchises for sale, it would only be available in territories where there are no existing licensees.  Also, while probably not an attractive option, licensees would be allowed to upgrade to a franchise in their protected territory if they so chose.
   
   
10. What kind of support does Quick Fitness 24/® provide me as a licensee?
    • Exclusive rights to use the trademarked name Quick Fitness 24/7® for all aspects of your gym.
    • A free page on our website www.quickfitness247.com for your local center at no charge which can be accessed directly from the internet, example… www.quickfitness247.com/northdallas. There are many advantages to this such as enhanced browser search returns, location finding, and centralized information. Cost for such a listing can be well over $300 per year just for the domain.
    • Signage art and specification options for several different exterior signage formats. Use this art to purchase your own sign locally if you desire.
    • Access to FREE art downloads of dozens of copyrighted sales and marketing collaterals such as guest passes, newspaper ads, take-ones, direct mailers, window signs, posters, membership agreements, newsletters, etc.  You download this camera-ready art and take it to your local printer to customize to your location and print for you so you control your own costs. (NOTE: you are NOT required to use any of this material if you so choose).

11. What restrictions do you put on me as a licensee?
    The only restriction on you as a Licensee is the method and manner you use to display the trademark.  Other than that, there are no restrictions.
    
    
12. Do I have to provide personal financial information to buy the license?
    No, none whatsoever beyond your payment type data (credit card or bank draft information).
    
    
13. Do I have to sign a non-competition agreement?
    No you do not.
    
    
14. Do I have to send in monthly reports or allow the corporate headquarters to see my books, operating system, etc.?
    No reports at all of any kind.
    
    
15. Does Quick Fitness 24/7® guarantee my success as a fitness business?
    No we do not.  Your success depends upon many factors including your degree of general business knowledge, available capitalization of your business, site choice, advertising expenditures, membership services and more.
    
    
16. Where do I get the kind of help that being a franchisee affords such as suggestions for equipment, operating systems, security access and key card options, membership agreements, fee structures, etc.?

17. Do I have to share any part of my profits with Quick Fitness 24/7®?
    No, None, nada.
