While there are many legal and structural differences, the primary differences are:
With licensing, you, not the franchisor, control your own business. There are no requirements of our licensees whatsoever other than two simple terms…
- Pay your licensing fees on time and keep them current, and
- Properly display the brand and logo on signage, in advertising and on printed materials.
Unlike franchises for fitness centers now available:
- We do not require licensees to open a center within a fixed period of time. Your exclusive license is yours in your territory as long as you keep your monthly fee current and paid…you don’t even have to open a center if you choose to delay actually opening your center until a later time.
- We do not require licensees to sign a non-compete or confidentiality agreement.
- We do not require licensees to purchase our operating system, printed materials, supplies, equipment or anything else!
- We do not restrict your marketing or sales tactics to conform to corporate guidelines.
- We do not require you to attend initial training seminars or management meetings.
- We do not require you to purchase or support any corporate vendors for equipment or other operational needs.
- We do not require licensees to link to our central computer system or utilize our security/access software.
- With our licensing, you do not have to submit any reports of any kind to license headquarters or share any personal financial or creditworthiness information.
- We do not require licensees to use our membership agreements nor stay within corporate guidelines for fees and services.
- There are no marketing funds or co-op advertising fees you must participate in.
